Anniversary Extravaganza

September 25, 2007 will mark my parents TWENTY FIFTH wedding anniversary!

Mom & Dad on Their Wedding Day with Elder Ronald Lawrence

Daddy,
You have taught me everything from spitting orange seeds in a paper sack to peeing behind a pine tree (when I was younger of course). I will never forget the many a mornin' I have awoken to the infamous rooster! You are my favorite skiing buddy, fishing companion and Chemistry guroo. You have shown me the importance of looking for the best in others and giving freely. You have a heart like no other and for that you are to be admired. When I think of selfLESS, my mind is immediately drawn to you.
I love you Papa Bear,
Brittany

Mom,
The most important lesson I have learned from you is how to be strong and yet submissive. You have shown me the importance of modesty and have been a wonderful example of a "virtous woman." You are my friend and my mentor. For 19 years, you have been the hand I reached for. You are the one to listen when I have gabbed the ears off of everyone else. Thank you for listening -hours upon hours- during our "porch talk." I am eternally grateful for the guidance and support I have been given. I know that when I need someone, I can always turn home.
You will always be "ONE HOTT MAMA!" : )
I love you,
Brittany

Mom,
You are "Super Fly" :) I cant remember a time that you haven't been there for me when I needed you. I dont know what I would do without our "pillow talks" every once in a while. You have shown me the important things in life and have told me that I can do anything that I set my mind to.
I Love You,
Bethany

Daddy,
You have always been there for me when I needed a good laugh! There is just something about your personality that puts a smile on my face every time I look at you. The moments that may embarass us now will soon be precious memories. I will never forget your singing/howling in the shower or your recent obsession with "Before He Cheats" on my iPod. :)
I love my "Straight up G Dad"!
Bethany

Mom and Dad,

We are so blessed to have parents as loving and caring as you two. We would not be where we are today without you guys behind us.

With Love,

Butter Bean & String Bean

Wise Words from a Dear Brother

I received some wisdom from a dear brother in the church this morning. It made me think about a few things in a different light. Perhaps this man's wisdom will be of benefit to you all as well.

  1. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
  2. When looking for a spouse, be conscious of those you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.
  3. Don't believe all you hear, Don't spend all you have and Don't sleep all you want.
  4. When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.
  5. Never laugh at anyone's dream.
  6. Love deeply and freely. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
  7. Don't judge people by their family, possessions or social standing.
  8. Talk slowly but think quickly.
  9. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
  10. Remember the three R's: Respect for Self; Respect for Others; and Responsibility for all your Actions.
  11. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
  12. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it. Go to those who have wronged you or you have wronged. (Matthew 18)

On my knees in prayer for the women and men who died

In Rememberance of all of our fallen heros who lost their lives on September 11th!

Tears for Our Women and Men

By Lindsay Penney

Her tears came down as she led the way, The only man she ever loved was gone. He served his country among the brave, But no one ever had the chance to know how strong. Her tears came down as they handed her the flag, The flag that represented the red, white, and blue. So many have been lost, she said out loud. But inside she thought, why did it have to be her man too? Her tears came down as her children knelt beside her, They cherished all the time they had with their dad. Even while he was away, they kept him in their hearts, Not knowing that was all the time they were ever to have. Even though months have passed, Her tears still come now and then. But she knows that she will heal with time, Because our country is made with the strongest women and men.

Seriously? Seriously!

Our family has recently found a new obsession which if you haven't guessed already is Grey's Anatomy! It seems as though that is all we ever do now, is eat dinner while watching Grey's! I constantly find myself saying Seriously in every other sentence! It's crazy insane how if you hear somebody say something over and over, you will pick up on their "saying" and catch yourself saying it without even realizing it!
