Time for a Change

My Christmas mission is to learn how to handle stressful situations in a healthier fashion. I have come to the conclusion that breaking out with tiny red dots and having a swollen lip is not normal! Here is my game plan for my new worry free (haha) life:

  • Never wait empty-handed
  • Leave myself plenty of time for errands, studying...etc
  • Do NOT procrastinate
  • Set aside time for myself

a week from you know where

I aquate finals week with a fiery pit encompassed by demons in the form of polyatomic ions, chemical reactions and systems of the body. It seems hopeless and without an end! I find myself exhausted yet sleepless. My mind is constantly bombarded with gingerbread cookies, Christmas carols and social festivities. While knee deep in books, I attempt to study for the weeks exams. It takes all my effort to concentrate and not doing any of the following: check email, make to do lists, cook, listen to music, clean, do laundry, vacuum and re-check my email.

Here's to school smool...Bring on the egg nog and holiday hoop la!

Turkey, Stuffing and Pecan Pie

When I think of Thanksgiving, the first thing that comes to my mind is family, friends, food and Black Friday. With everyone going in different directions, it seems few and far between when we all get together. However- I am guaranteed that every Thanksgiving, I will be seated across the table from those I cherish the most. We will be eating anything and everything set before us and laughing along the way. It is the memories of waking up to Grandpa's "bear" at 6 am, the football games with cousins, slurping the chocolate pie (that didn't congeal) through a straw, making crescent rolls at Grandma's, dispersing the "Day after Thanksgiving" ads and napping on the couch after gaining at least 10 lbs laying every which-a-way like little puppies that I will never forget.

I thank the Lord for blessing me with an abundant family. He is generous indeed!

PhotoShoot

Today we had the opportunity to have the wonderful photographer Katie take our family pictures. She is such a talented and creative photographer. Here are some pictures that I took before Katie got there. I absolutely can not wait until she is done with our pictures!

Leave it to Katie, to bring dress-up stuff for us! This is what we saw when she first got to Cranes Roost!

Update Time

This past weekend, we were priviliged to have Elder Chris Folsom and his family from Brunswick, GA. come and stay with us and preach for us on Sunday. As most of you might have been aware, there was just a "little" game between the Gators and the "Dawgs" ( no not "Dogs" but "Dawgs" with and aw, as Elder Chris informed me) which unfortunately we lost. Besides the fact that we lost to the team who barks and calls themselves "Dawgs" we have an amazing weekend.
