Just for Grins and Giggles

I got this joke from Ms. Pat over at This 'n That. I enjoyed it and I am quite sure you guys will as well!

While attending a Marriage Seminar dealing with communication, Tom and his wife Grace listened to the instructor."It is essential that husbands and wives know each other's likes and dislikes."He addressed the man, "Can you name your wife's favorite flower?" Tom leaned over, touched his wife's arm gently and whispered, "It's Pillsbury, isn't it?"

Home away from home.

We were truly blessed this weekend to have such an awesome meeting at Macclenny PBC. Every time we go there we always feel at home. The Whiteheads have become my second family now. They were so kind to take me in this weekend and let me stay the night. Sarah is such a sweet girl and is the exact replica of myself.
Me and Rachel on the way home.
Me and Sarah in the camper.

Brother Jon talking about Brother David for his surprise.

Abby posing for the camera.

I just love this one of Sarah and Emma!

Car Lag

We had a great time at Macclenny this weekend. We were giving the opportunity to enjoy the company of Sara and Rachel on our excursion! (Thank you girls for making the drive seem shorter!) Road trips are always better in the company of those you love.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday flew by. We heard some great preaching and were a part of many spirit filled services! The same spirit was present throughout the weekend whether we were in the church building, eating lunch or fellowshippin' at the Crawford's. We spent our nights with the coolest parents I know. Silas, "T", Jolee and Sophie opened their house to us and I am grateful for the time we got to spend in their company. Thank you guys for everything you did.

I, once again, hated to leave but know that all good things come in time!

A Churchin' We Will Go

The following lyrical verses were repeated over and over in my head this morning on the way to class.

"Blest be the tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like to that above."

Oh Joy

This is the sight that I saw when I looked out my window one afternoon this week. Now how many people do you know that have a garbage truck being hauled off in front of your house. Literally they picked up our trash then broke down. :)
Hmmm....what is that supposed to mean? ha. I just thought that I should share this outrageous story with my fellow bloggers/readers of the blog. :)
I hope ya'll found this as amusing as I did.

A Hillbilly Way

You know you have a redneck father when....
  1. He crows like a rooster at the break of dawn.
  2. When his face is due for a shave and says, "My whiskers need a sheerin"
  3. He uses terms such as "gopher breath", "lizard lips" and "cow brains" as terms of endearment.
  4. And here's the funny one- Instead of buying new shoes he keeps wearing the old ones and ties 'em together with rubber bands for kicks and giggles.

Disclaimer: *This is not how Dad is in public because he has three girls monitoring his behavior. There are times when we fail and his inner redneck rears its ugly head!*

The Joys of a Nursing Student

I could not have asked for a better week of school! Take for instance, my first day in microbiology- I obtained a pure sample of E.Coli and prepared it in a petri dish for growth and maturation. (Don't worry, all you germ-a-phobes out there I wore gloves, a lab coat and goggles. I was fully protected!) This was the first unadultered and raw sample of E. Coli that I had ever seen with my very own eyes! Please do NOT be jealous!

Today I took a sample from the local lake and found an amoeba. A living, breathing amoeba was directly under my microscope.

I love class, I love lab and I love school!
This week in physiology I am swabbing my cheek and testing it for bacteria. Stay tuned for the results :)

Grins, Giggles and Drool :)

As most of you know, Brittany has been in New Orleans/Mississippi for the past week with the Mizell family and has left me home all alone. :) But that's alright I will forgive her because after all in the event of her trip I was able to babysitt the two sweetest little babies ever! One of my parents old clients has a 3month old baby girl and they had a Christmas party last Saturday and needed a babysitter so of course I jumped on that opportunity and had a blast. We also watched a friend of theirs baby boy, who might I say was the sweetest cuddliest baby ever.
Their is that sweet baby girls smile! :)

Me and Olivia

Conner was the best baby ever! When we got him he was sleeping and when he left he was sleeping! He did not even cry or anything! Man I wish all babies were like that.

I'm sure Brittany will be posting some pictures from her little trip sometime.
