Wise Words from a Dear Brother
I received some wisdom from a dear brother in the church this morning. It made me think about a few things in a different light. Perhaps this man's wisdom will be of benefit to you all as well.
- Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
- When looking for a spouse, be conscious of those you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.
- Don't believe all you hear, Don't spend all you have and Don't sleep all you want.
- When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.
- Never laugh at anyone's dream.
- Love deeply and freely. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
- Don't judge people by their family, possessions or social standing.
- Talk slowly but think quickly.
- Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
- Remember the three R's: Respect for Self; Respect for Others; and Responsibility for all your Actions.
- Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
- When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it. Go to those who have wronged you or you have wronged. (Matthew 18)
